Softsided Waterbed Showroom

Welcome to our softside waterbed showroom. Here we will provide you with some useful, general information about softside waterbeds, or, you can skip ahead to the showroom.
While many people love the comfort and warmth of their old-style, wood frame waterbed, some find them to be a bit bulky and awkward to get in and out of. Necessity, being the mother of invention, has brought forth the softsided waterbed. Replacing a hard, wooden frame with soft and forgiving compressed foam makes softsided waterbeds not only more ergonomic, but more versatile also. Softsided waterbeds have even more choices than their hardsided counterparts. You can choose from three different types of fluid suspension beds; deepfill (8”),  midfill (6”), or shallowfill (4") water depth. You also may choose from full motion, semi-motion, or waveless bladders, to full motion or waveless tubes, which have virtually no side-to-side motion. Also available are dual mattresses with two heaters and a thermal divider, for couples who can’t agree on a temperature setting.
While all deep fill beds come standard with a heater, they are optional on mid and shallowfill beds, as they are not necessary. These options can all be chosen at checkout, where you will find several pulldown menus with all available options for you to "build" your new softside waterbed.

These beds are designed to be supported by an open bottom, sturdy, center-legged steel frame that you can add to your order if needed. You may also order as a set, which would include a foundation (box spring), or as a top only, (i.e. to be put on a platform bed). at checkout.

Other benefits of softsided waterbeds are that they are the same dimension as regular eastern innerspring beds, and therefore do not require California-style waterbed sheets and bedding, although high profile pillow top beds may require deeper pocket sheets. They also match virtually any bedroom set, and can accommodate any standard sized headboard.

Softside waterbed dimensions are; King: (76" wide by 80" long)  Queen: (60" wide by 80" long) Full aka double: (54" wide by 75" long) and twin: (39" wide by 75" long). Bed height will vary depending on model chosen.

So, whether you prefer softsided waterbeds with a waveless water mattress or full motion, pillow top or plush top, tubes or bladder, luxury or economy, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. Please contact us if you have any questions, and thank you for visiting WaterbedSmart.
