Time is the most precious commodity we have. So, when you consider that we spend a third of our life sleeping, and how that third plays a pivotal role in how we experience the balance of our time, sleep should be the main focus – it impacts everything.
One of the simplest ways to improve your quality of sleep is to change HOW you sleep. One way to do this is to use a memory foam pillow instead of your standard feather pillow.
Here are the top 5 reasons you should try a memory foam pillow:
1: They promote alignment. Memory foam pillows – particularly the contoured variety – allow your neck and spine to sit is a perfect alignment. This, in turn, allows related muscles and tendons to relax, allowing you to wake up refreshed with less pain.
2: Reduces pressure points. The support memory foam pillows provide more balanced weight distribution while you sleep, meaning one body part isn’t bearing excess pressure throughout the night like with standard pillows. Again, this translates into less pain.
3: They’re pretty darn comfy. True, they feel different than a regular pillow and may take some getting used to, but many find that the cradling effect of the memory foam allows them to relax more quickly with less tossing and turning to find the right position.
4: They can be had for cheap! Well, to be fair, there’s a wide range of pillows and prices – into the hundreds of dollars. But, you can find great memory pillows at great prices (we’ve included an example of this below). This way, you also get to test out how you like foam, which is important before taking a much larger plunge into the foam mattress market.
At the end of the day, if you want different results, you need to try something else. If you’ve been struggling to get a good night’s sleep, or you’re simply not feeling refreshed enough in the morning, these pillows may be the solution you’ve been looking for.
